Mesenchymal Stem Cell Culture Media

A defined, xeno-free, serum-free medium, designed to support the isolation and growth of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC)

MSC NutriStem® XF is a serum-free, xeno-free culture medium developed for the growth and expansion of human mesenchymal stem cells derived from a variety of sources (i.e., bone marrow, adipose tissue and umbilical cord matrix; BM-hMSC, AT-hMSC, UCM-hMSC). 
MSC NutriStem® XF media support long-term growth of human mesenchymal stem cell while maintaining their self- renewal and multi-lineage differentiation potential.
No adaptation is required for the transition from serum-containing stem cell medium to the MSC NutriStem® XF medium.

MSC NutriStem® XF culture media enable excellent proliferation of multipotent human Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells cultured in MSC NutriStem® XF culture media exhibit a high proliferation rate and long-term growth in comparison to competitors’ serum-containing medium and SF, XF medium.

 

MSC NutriStem® XF Features

  • Serum-free (SF), xeno-free (XF) medium: all components are defined and from non-xenogenic origin, including proteins.
  • Does not contain antibiotics.
  • Enables culture of human mesenchymal stem cells from different sources.
  • Supports long-term growth of human mesenchymal stem cells, retaining the fibroblast-like cell structure.
  • Enhances purity of hMSC population in earlier passages.
  • No background differentiation.
  • Maintains human mesenchymal stem cells self-renewal and multi-lineage stem cells differentiation potential (e.g., osteocytes, adipocytes and chondrocytes).
  • human mesenchymal stem cells can be transferred directly to MSC NutriStem® XF culture media without prior adaptation.

The complete mesenchymal stem cell culture media consist of two components: MSC NutriStem® XF Basal Medium (Cat.# 05-200-1) and MSC NutriStem® XF Supplement Mix (Cat.# 05-201-1).
Components are not sold separay.

MSC NutriStem® XF medium is recommended for use in conjunction with MSC Attachment Solution (Cat. No. 05-752-1) for the attachment and spreading of cells.

Storage and Stability

MSC NutriStem® XF Basal Medium (Cat.#05-200-1A and Cat.#05-200-1B) should be stored at 2-8°C. 
MSC NutriStem® XF Supplement Mix (Cat.#05-201-1U and Cat.#05-201-1-06) should be stored at -10 to -20°C. 
The complete MSC NutriStem® XF culture medium is stable at 2-8°C for up to 30 days. Protect from light.
