这种非治疗性生物类似药抗体使用与治疗性抗体Anifrolumab（阿尼鲁单抗）具有相同的可变区，使其成为相关研究用途的理想选择。这种Anifrolumab生物类似药抗体与人IFNAR1（干扰素-α/β受体亚单位1）反应。IFNAR-1与IFNAR-2在几乎所有细胞类型上共表达，这两个亚基一起构成异二聚体I型IFN受体复合物。I 型 IFN （IFN-α/β） 与 I 型 IFN 受体复合物结合以诱导细胞反应，包括诱导抗病毒、抗微生物、抗肿瘤和自身免疫反应，并调节许多细胞类型的活化、增殖和分化。Anifrolumab用于治疗成人系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）。
